Notifications

A "notification" allows users to share notifications and reminders easily.  Notifications are often used to remind users about facility or area-wide events, best practices, and system maintenance notes.

  1. Select the "Notifications" icon on the Menu Bar.

  2. Review the notifications, which are sorted by the Notification Start Date.

  1. Select the "Notifications" icon on the Menu Bar.

  2. Select the "Add a New Notification" button.

  3. Populate the fields.  Data fields with an asterisk (*) are required.

  4. Select "Save" upon completion.

Notification Visibility

  • Once the notification is saved, a visibility indicator will appear under the name of the notification that indicates whether the notification is visible to other users of the system.

  • Only the contact that created the notification can see this indicator.

  • Notifications are visible when the current date is on or after the Notification Start Date and the current date is before the Notification End Date.

Populate the following fields:

  • Notification Start Date*: Defaulted to the current date.  If the notification should not start immediately, enter a future date after which the notification will be displayed.

  • Notification End Date*: Defaulted to two months from the current date.  Adjust this date to control when the notification will no longer be displayed.

  • Title*: Enter the title of the notification.

  • Body*: Enter the detailed body of the notification.

  • Managed By*: The contact posting the notification.

  • Event Start Date & Time: The date and time (converted to the user’s local time zone) when this notification event starts. 

    • Example:  For an area-wide training, this field would reflect the training's start date and time.

  • Event End Date & Time: The date and time (converted to the user’s local time zone) when this notification event ends.  

    • Example:  For an area-wide training, this field would reflect the training's end date and time.

  • Asset:  Select the corresponding asset where this notification applies (leave blank for all assets in the account).  This field allows the notification to display the asset name. 

    • Example: For an area-wide training, this field would reflect that area for which the training will be conducted. 

  • Notification Photo: The photo or representative picture to display for the notification.

  1. Select the "Notifications" icon on the Menu Bar.

  2. Below the body of the notification, you may:

  • ​Edit this notification.

  • Delete this notification.
