Exporting JSON files for configuration records

Within one account of Assetas, a user can export a JSON file that can be imported into another account using the Data Import tool.

This tool is intended for users to import files exactly as exported; Assetas does not support importing adjusted exported JSON files. Please note that the system will not import or update data for exported “system-defined” records.

The following records types are available for exporting as a JSON file for import into another account:

  1. Expand "Configuration" in the sidebar navigation.

  2. Expand the "Lists & Types" menu under "Configuration".

  3. Locate your desired list.

    • Expand the "Locations" section for the Locations lists which includes countries, U.S. counties, states/provinces, and time zones.

    • Select "Units of Measure" for that data.

  4. Select the "Export the list" button at the top right, across from the list name.

  5. Select one of the following export types.  The exported file will be generated after selection.

    1. Excel:  Export the list as an Excel (xlsx) file.

    2. PDF: Export the list as a PDF file.

    3. Copy: Copy the list data to the clipboard as a tab-separated table.

    4. CSV: Export the list as a comma-separated value (csv) file.
